Most Australian newcomers are not hesitating to spend large sums of money in order to move the ideal wedding scene to the real world.
According to a survey conducted by IBIS World, between 2010 and 2011, the married couples spent an average of 36,200 Australian dollars to hold their dream weddings, an increase of 6.5% compared to the previous year.
IBIS World stated that many newcomers may reduce their spending in order to save money, but on the day of great joy, sensible splurging is acceptable.
At present, the total value of the Australian wedding industry is as high as A$43 billion. According to IBIS World's forecast, this figure will further increase to 47 billion yuan in the next five years.
Site rental is the most expensive one in weddings, followed by wedding dresses, costumes and jewelry accessories, followed by banquets.
According to IBIS World, the cost of wedding and apparel that currently costs as much as 942 million AUD per year will increase by 7% over the next five years. However, although the cost of the wedding has increased, the price still has an important effect when making a purchase decision.
For example, the demand for high-priced custom-made dresses tends to decrease, and once such dresses are seen as indispensable; however, the groom is the one who sacrifices the most because of the savings, usually the second of the groom. The outfit will become the first victim of cost savings. They have to put on their suit instead of renting or buying clothing.
In addition, due to the development of digital camera technology, new people's expenses on photography have also been reduced, but that part of the money saved is used to fill other additional expenses.
